LegalTech West Coast; The Westin Bonaventure Hotel; Los Angeles, California; May 22-23, 2012

We just returned from a fantastic show in sunny Los Angeles. The LegalTech West Coast show was a little less chaotic than the LegalTech New York show in January, and the relaxed atmosphere made it possible for us to spend more one-on-one time with both new and existing clients.

We gave out a couple of Amazon Kindle Fires and some free copies of HotDocs Developer 10.2 to a few lucky people who stopped by our booth and entered our drawing, but in reality, everyone was a winner, since those who didn’t win the drawings still got to enjoy some Ferrero Rocher hazelnut chocolates. Those were definitely a hit.

Gary Eunson, VP of Business Development, and Lowell Stewart, VP of Software Development, both attended the show and had some interesting discussions regarding future integrations with potential new partners.

There was a lot of interest in our new web-based solution, HotDocs Document Services – especially among small and mid-size law firms.  Of particular interest was the ability to have clients access HotDocs templates over the web.

One small firm specializing in real estate law learned about HotDocs for the first time and immediately recognized the value to its business.  The show attendees from the firm could see that HotDocs would dramatically improve the quality of their real estate forms and greatly speed up their document creation process.  They purchased our software on the spot.

We expect some great things to result from the LA show, and now it’s time to start preparing for the ILTA show in August in Washington, DC! We hope to see you there.
