Abacus Data Systems Announces Sponsorship of the American Bar Association’s Legal Rebels Project
SAN DIEGO, CA – September 2, 2014 - Abacus Data Systems, Inc. (Abacus), the Single Source Fully Managed Technology Solutions Partner (est. 1983), today announced the premier sponsorship of the American Bar Association’s Legal Rebels Project. The Legal Rebels Project celebrates the most creative, forward-looking legal practitioners—those lawyers who are actively remaking the profession for the 21st century. This partnership supports Abacus’ continuing commitment to foster the legal industry and help attorneys bridge the legal technology gap.
“Recent changes to the American Bar Association’s Model Rules of Professional Responsibility, coupled with client demands to move beyond the billable hour, have forced lawyers to look outside the box in order to find new ways to practice law and represent their clients,” said Abacus Chief Executive Officer, Alessandra Lezama.
“We are delighted to expand our relationship with the American Bar Association to help bring exposure to such a wonderful program,” continued Lezama. “We take great responsibility to support legal innovation and to help educate and inspire legal professionals in all practice areas to embrace technology as a way to secure their future!”
Parallel to this sponsorship project, Abacus plans to co-chair and participate in additional legal technology events, including the 2015 ABA Tech Show and LawTech Day Silicon Valley on October 7, 2014.
