For more than 130 years, the Ohio State Bar Association has carried on in the spirit of the founders, promoting justice and advancing the legal profession. What they do better than anyone else is advocate for their members, equipping them with the tools and resources necessary to zealously and successfully represent their clients. The OSBA represents nearly 65 percent of Ohio attorneys.

The Challenge

In 2011, the Ohio State Bar Association wanted to deliver a new technology product to its bar members. They identified a need to cut down on manual form entry and reduce user errors.

The Solution

Automated templates available to all members

Using HotDocs document automation software, OSBA created OhioDocs as a library of automated templates that all 31,000 Ohio State Bar Association members can use to generate custom legal documents and forms.

The Results

Increased productivity, lowered costs, minimized errors

The OhioDocs library includes templates in the areas of family law, probate and real estate, and general practice, as well as business forms from the Secretary of State.

“OhioDocs [helps] OSBA members increase productivity, lower costs, minimize errors, improve document consistency and better serve their clients.”

Carmen V. Roberto, Ohio State Bar Association president
